With all that calls themselves meditation on a contemporary spiritual market, it might be good to know what actually counts as a meditation and what not. From a Tibetan Buddhist point of view, meditation is defined as “becoming acquainted with virtue”. If its result is that you are becoming more and more virtuous person, it is a meditation; if this is not its result, it is not meditation.
The Light of Meditation classes, meditation sessions and books are useful to make this path of virtue clear and easy to practice.
